Tony F. Farmani is an associate attorney at Henderson & Caverly LLP, practicing in the areas of Civil and Commercial Litigation, Estate and Trust Controversies, Creditor’s Rights, and Probate.

Prior to joining Henderson and Caverly in March 2008, Mr. Farmani led the appellate and law and motion department of the San Diego office of a top rated firm. Mr. Farmani has authored numerous state and federal civil and criminal appeals, many of which involved issues of first impression. Mr. Farmani was also an attorney with the Orange County office of a boutique law firm, defending public officials and entities in high profile civil rights cases.

In addition, Mr. Farmani has been counsel in a wide variety of civil litigation matters, including director and officer liability, bankruptcy, real estate, consumer class actions, employment, civil rights, premises liability, and products liability.

Before joining private practice, Mr. Farmani spent three years serving as a Judicial Clerk for the Honorable Roger T. Benitez, United States District Judge, and the Honorable William McCurine, Jr., United States Magistrate Judge, in the Southern District of California. During his clerkship, Mr. Farmani twice accompanied Judge Benitez while sitting by designation on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and assisted the panel in drafting two published opinions.

In addition to clerking, Mr. Farmani was an adjunct professor at Thomas Jefferson School of Law, teaching Legal Writing II in the fall of 2006.

Mr. Farmani obtained his law degree in 2000 from the University of San Diego School of Law, and obtained his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Southern California in 1997.

Mr. Farmani is admitted to practice in California, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the United States District Courts for the Northern, Central and Southern Districts of California.
