Joy J. Paeske is a senior associate in the Estates and Trusts Group at Henderson, Caverly, Pum & Charney LLP, where she advises clients in estate planning, estate and trust administration, charitable planning, and the creation and administration of foundations and other tax exempt organizations.

Ms. Paeske obtained her undergraduate degree in 1997 from the College of William and Mary, and she obtained her law degree from the University of Southern California Law School in 2002. She also obtained a Masters of Business Taxation in 2002 from USC’s Levanthal School of Accounting.

Ms. Paeske is a co-author with partner Nancy G. Henderson of a paper entitled, “Managing the Benefits and Burdens of Inherited Wealth,” which she presented with Ms. Henderson in a workshop on that subject at the 2005 Southern California Tax and Estate Planning Forum in San Diego. Ms. Paeske also presented “Tax Updates for Domestic Partnerships in California” at the Annual Meeting of the California Tax Bar and the Tax Policy Conference in 2007.

Ms. Paeske serves on the Board of Trustees for Quail Botanical Gardens in Encinitas, California, is a member of the Estates and Trusts Committee of the Rady Children’s Hospital Foundation and the Planned Giving Advisory Committee of the Helen Woodward Animal Center.
