Robert Mardian is a Senior Counsel in the Litigation Group at Henderson, Caverly, Pum & Charney LLP. Mr. Mardian’s practice focuses on trust, probate and general civil litigation. He also represents clients in trademark litigation matters before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Prior to joining Henderson, Caverly, Pum & Charney LLP, Mr. Mardian was a partner at the law firm of Lopez & Mardian, and an associate attorney at Neil, Dymott, Frank, McFall & Trexler, APC, practicing in the areas of general civil litigation and medical malpractice. Mr. Mardian has also served as an Administrative Hearing Officer for the City of San Diego and an adjunct professor of contract law for the University of San Diego Paralegal Program.
Mr. Mardian obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of San Diego in 1997 as well as a master’s degree in National Security Studies from Georgetown University in 1999. Mr. Mardian obtained his law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2002.
Mr. Mardian is a member of the California State Bar Association (Trusts & Estates Section), the San Diego County Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, the Association of Business Trial Lawyers, Probate Attorneys of San Diego and San Diego Defense Lawyers. Since 2013, Mr. Mardian has served on the Board of Directors for San Diego Defense Lawyers and serves as Editor of its quarterly publication, The Update. Mr. Mardian is admitted to practice before all California state courts; the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit; and the United States District Courts for the Northern, Central, Eastern and Southern Districts of California.
